In a meeting with Iran’s new ambassador to Belgium, held in Tehran on Saturday, Foreign Minister Araqchi referred to Iran’s approach to developing relations with different regions of the world, including Europe, on the basis of mutual respect and common interests.
He also underlined the importance of preserving and strengthening bilateral ties and expanding contacts and consultations in various fields between Iran and Belgium. The foreign minister called for efforts to make use of Belgium’s capacities at the level of the European Union.
For his part, the new envoy to Belgium presented a report on the latest state of relations between the two countries as well as developments related to the European Union.
