In a new crime in occupied Al-Quds, Israeli occupation forces demolished a residential building belonging to 13 Palestinian families in the Silwan area, forcibly displacing its residents.
Local Palestinian media reported that Israeli occupation forces, while carrying out the demolition, attacked women and men in the Wadi Qaddum neighborhood of the Silwan town.
According to the reports, personnel from the Israeli occupation municipality on Monday assaulted residents of the besieged residential building in Wadi Qaddum, beating local residents as the operation unfolded.
Israeli occupation soldiers also fired stun grenades at residents, intensifying fear and chaos during the demolition.
False Pretexts Used by the Israeli Regime to Demolish Palestinian Homes
The governor of occupied Al-Quds, reacting to the Israeli regime’s demolition of Palestinian homes, stressed that the occupiers rely on false pretexts such as the alleged lack of building permits to justify demolitions, while at the same time severely restricting Palestinians’ access to construction permits.
The governor added that the demolition of residential buildings in Silwan has displaced 13 families, comprising nearly 100 Palestinian citizens.
Israeli Raids South of Jenin and Abduction of Palestinian Youth
Separately, local Palestinian sources reported that Israeli occupation forces abducted several Palestinian youths after storming the town of Arraba, south of Jenin, in a raid that lasted for hours.
According to the same sources, Israeli forces also raided the home of Mundhir Ashour in the city of Nablus, vandalized its contents, and re-arrested a previously freed Palestinian detainee.
Heavy Israeli Military Equipment Deployed to Jenin Refugee Camp
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces stormed the Jenin refugee camp, deploying heavy military equipment into the area.
The army of the Israeli regime, through a large-scale assault on the camp, is seeking to demolish and alter its historical structures as part of a broader campaign of destruction.
Clashes Across the West Bank as Israeli Forces Escalate Attacks
News sources reported Israeli military raids in northeast Ramallah, where occupation forces opened direct fire toward Palestinian civilians.
In the city of Qalqilya, Zionist aggressors also fired large amounts of tear gas at residents.
Just a day earlier, Israeli occupation forces carried out widespread attacks across multiple areas of the West Bank.
The Hamas resistance movement, condemning the continued crimes of the occupiers in the West Bank and the killing of two Palestinian teenagers and a young man in Jenin, stressed that the blood of the martyrs will not be forgotten and that Palestinians in the West Bank must intensify all forms of resistance against the enemy.
The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement stated that the escalation of the occupiers’ crimes and the ongoing killings in the West Bank demand public anger and the expansion of popular resistance against the enemy and its settlers.
Since the start of the Israeli genocidal war, the Zionist forces have sharply intensified repression and attacks in the West Bank, turning the region into a daily scene of military assaults by occupation soldiers and settlers, with constant reports of arrests and killings of Palestinians.
Millions of Palestinians have lived for decades under military rule, enduring daily violations of their most basic rights.
The international community continues to remain silent in the face of administrative detention and other apartheid practices of the Israeli regime, effectively giving a green light for the continued occupation of Palestinian land and the systematic violation of Palestinian rights.
Following the Israeli regime’s move to establish 19 new settlements in the West Bank, Haroun Nasser al-Din, a member of Hamas’s political bureau and head of its Al-Quds affairs office, said in a statement that the approval by the Israeli occupation cabinet to legalize 19 settlements represents a new colonial step to gradually entrench annexation policies.
He said the move aims to seize Palestinian land and impose new realities on the ground in defiance of historical and legal facts.
The Hamas official added that this decision, along with other criminal actions by Zionist forces and settlers, reflects the occupation cabinet’s determination to expand settlement construction as a primary tool to expel Palestinians from their land.
Warning of the dangers posed by escalating Israeli attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque and the deliberate violations of Palestinian holy sites, he said these actions fall within a planned policy to Judaize Al-Quds and alter its religious and historical identity.
