The municipality of Yokneam Illit said in a notice that blasts at transformers belonging to the Israeli regime’s electricity company triggered extensive blackouts affecting most areas of the city.
Meanwhile, the municipality acknowledged that all traffic lights and street lighting systems were also disabled, leaving the city in complete darkness.
Experts said that despite the passage of two days, the disruptions have not been fully resolved, with parts of the city still experiencing power cuts.
They added that the persistence of the outages points to the scale and complexity of the incident and the severe disruption caused to the local power network.
