In a message to the 59th conference of the Islamic Union Association for Iranian Students in Europe, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei addressed Iranian youth, saying that this year, thanks to faith, unity, and self-confidence, Iran has gained renewed credibility and standing in the world.
The Leader noted that the heavy assault by the US army and its disgraceful offshoot in the region, namely the Zionist regime, was defeated by the initiative, courage, and sacrifices of the youth of Islamic Iran.
It has been proven that the Iranian nation, by relying on its own capabilities and under the shadow of faith and righteous action, can stand firm against corrupt and oppressive arrogant powers and convey the call to Islamic values to the world more loudly than ever before, the Leader stated.
Ayatollah Khamenei added that the deep sorrow over the martyrdom of a number of scientists, commanders, and some of the country’s dear people has not been and will not be able to halt committed Iranian youth. He stressed that the families of those martyrs themselves stand among the pioneers of this movement.
The Leader underlined that the issue was not about nuclear discussions or similar matters, but rather about confronting the unjust order and the domineering rule of the system of arrogance in today’s world, and turning toward a just national and international Islamic system. He said this was the great claim for which Islamic Iran has raised the banner, a cause that has angered corrupt and corrupting bullies.
Addressing Iranian students, particularly those abroad, Ayatollah Khamenei said they shoulder a share of this great responsibility. He advised them to entrust their hearts to God, recognize their own capabilities, and steer their associations in this direction.
Ayatollah Khamenei concluded by expressing confidence that God is with those students and that complete victory awaits them, God willing.
