Araqchi made the remarks on Sunday during a telephone conversation with Abdulwahid Abu Ras, acting foreign minister of Yemen’s Government of Change and Construction, during which the two sides discussed the latest developments in Yemen.
Abu Ras referred to recent developments in southern Yemen and presented a report on the latest situation, saying these actions, which have been designed by the enemies of Yemen and the region with the aim of further destabilizing the area, would only further complicate the existing situation.
Araqchi, for his part, praised the Yemeni people’s support for the oppressed people of Palestine and their resistance against the aggressions of the Zionist regime.
The top Iranian diplomat emphasized the necessity of preserving Yemen’s territorial integrity and unity, and urged all Yemeni parties and groups to prevent the realization of the enemies’ plots to weaken and divide Yemen through dialogue and constructive engagement with one another.
Araqchi also welcomed a recent agreement between Yemeni parties and Saudi Arabia on the exchange of prisoners, stressing that the solution to Yemen’s problems lies in the complete lifting of the blockade, the implementation of other parts of the roadmap, and Yemeni-Yemeni dialogues aimed at forming an inclusive government based on preserving Yemen’s unity and territorial integrity.
