Israeli Regime Intensifies West Bank Assaults, Leaves Widespread Damage in Qabatiya

According to Palestinian media, Israeli occupation forces stormed multiple areas across the West Bank early on Monday, detaining dozens of Palestinians during house raids and field arrests.

In the northern Jenin area, Israeli regime forces raided the village of Arabouna and fired illumination flares, local sources reported.

Meanwhile, occupation forces arrested two young Palestinians at the Eliyahu checkpoint as they passed through the town of Hableh, south of Qalqilya.

Israeli troops also raided the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, stormed several homes, searched them, and arrested one young Palestinian.

Separately, occupation forces fired tear gas during a raid on the town of Kafr Aqab, north of Ramallah, according to reports.

Palestinian news agency Shehab reported that Israeli regime forces also stormed the town of Silwad, east of Ramallah, and arrested several Palestinian youths.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces raided the city of Hebron overnight, searched homes, abducted a young Palestinian, and transferred him to an undisclosed location, Palestinian sources said.

Israeli Regime Withdraws From Qabatiya

Palestinian sources said Israeli occupation forces withdrew on Monday from the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, after a two-day incursion that left heavy destruction behind.

The escalation followed an operation carried out by Palestinian resistance on Friday in the Beisan and Afula areas inside the 1948 occupied territories, which resulted in the killing of two Israelis and injuries to several others, according to censored Israeli reports.

Following the operation, Israeli regime forces sharply intensified their assaults on the West Bank, particularly targeting Qabatiya, the hometown of the alleged attacker.

Since Friday, Qabatiya had been under a full Israeli siege, with occupation forces imposing movement restrictions across the town.

Meanwhile, Israeli army radio reported that the Israeli military had encircled Qabatiya, imposed a curfew, and deployed forces with air support as part of preparations to begin preliminary steps to demolish the home of the attacker involved in the Beisan operation.

Israeli regime war minister Israel Katz said on Sunday that the army, as part of its operation in Qabatiya, had imposed a curfew, completely sealed off the town, and would continue its relentless attacks against refugee camps in the northern West Bank and across the entire area.

These attacks come after Hebrew media reported on Friday a series of combined operations in three separate areas in northern occupied Palestine, in which two settlers were killed and six others wounded, according to censored Israeli information.

Palestinian sources say such anti-Israeli operations have expanded significantly across the West Bank since the start of the Israeli regime’s genocidal war on Gaza, describing them as a response to what they call brutal crimes against the Palestinian people.

The West Bank has seen a sharp rise in attacks in recent months by the Israeli occupation army and settlers, often coinciding with planting and harvest seasons, in what Palestinian officials describe as efforts to pressure farmers into abandoning their land to expand settlement activity.

According to figures released by the Palestinian Authority’s Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, settlers carried out 621 attacks in the West Bank in November alone, targeting Palestinians and their property.

Since the start of the genocidal war on Gaza, Israeli occupation forces and settlers in the West Bank and Al-Quds have killed more than 1,103 Palestinians, wounded around 11,000 others, and arrested more than 21,000 people, Palestinian officials said.
