Asked by reporters about recent developments in Yemen on Wednesday, Esmaeil Baqaei said Iran is closely following security developments in southern and eastern Yemen and has called on all involved parties to exercise self-restraint and resolve ongoing issues through dialogue, taking into account the interests of the Yemeni people and regional security considerations.

Emphasizing the need for collective efforts by countries in the region to preserve Yemen’s unity and territorial integrity, the spokesman said Iran considers any action that could lead to increased instability in Yemen and insecurity in the region to be unacceptable.

Baqaei added that Iran believes the only solution to the Yemen crisis lies in comprehensive dialogue, the implementation of a roadmap, and the formation of an inclusive government within the framework of Yemen’s territorial unity and integrity.
