IPL: Esteghlal Moves Back Top
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal football team moved back to top of 2023-2024 Iran Professional League (IPL) table after beating struggling Foolad 1-0 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
Iman Salimi was on target with a header in the 58th minute.
Esteghlal and Persepolis are neck and neck in the table with the latter one point behind.
In other matches, Nassaji defeated 10-man Esteghlal Khuzestan 4-1 in Ahvaz and Zob Ahan edged past Paykan 1-0 in Isfahan.
