Dabiri Beaten by Nagoya Oceans in AFC Futsal Club Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran’s Dabiri lost to former champion Nagoya Oceans of Japan and failed to book a place in the final game of the AFC Futsal Club Championship.

The Iranian representative lost to Nagoya Oceans 6-2 at the Sichuan Football Stadium in Chengdu, China on Friday.

Dabiri will play loser of Chonburi Bluewave of Thailand and China’s Shenzhen Nanling Tielang on Saturday.

"In the first half, the team played well but in the second half we failed to take out chances and because of that we lost this game," said Tabriz assistant coach Reza Kordi, who had Iran international Behroz Jafari suspended for the tie after he picked up two yellow cards in the group stages.

"I felt we really missed Jafari, who is one of our best players, and without him our side was a bit unbalanced."

The Iranian teams Foolad Mahan and Giti Pasand Isfahan have won two titles in the competitions in 2010 and 2012 respectively.
