Iran’s Armed Forces Prepared to Thwart All Threats: Navy Commander

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari underscored the readiness of the country’s Armed Forces to foil all kind of threats against the country.

“Today, we are prepared to react against and foil any threat in any spot at the earliest possible time,” the senior commander stated.

He added that the ‘iron resolve’ of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Armed Forces (to counter the enemies) has been strengthened day after day.

Admiral Sayyari referred to the stable security in the country as a blessing and an accomplishment of the Islamic establishment which has been achieved thanks to the blood of martyrs, self-sacrifices of those fighting in the Sacred Defense (1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war) and the vigilance and tireless efforts of the Armed Forces.

He further underlined the effective presence of the Navy’s fleets in international waters.

In recent years, Iran has made great headways in strengthening its military capabilities.

Tehran has repeatedly stated that its military might is defensive in nature and poses no threat to other countries.
