Iran Football 7-a-side Beats Japan in Asian Para Games
INCHEON (Tasnim) – Iran Football 7-a-side defeated Japan 3-0 in the 2014 Asian Para Games underway in Incheon, South Korea, on Sunday.
In the match held at the Namdong Asiad Rugby Field, Farzad Mehri, Moslem Akbari and Hossein Tiz Bor scored for the Iranian outfit.
“Without a doubt, we will win the title. The level of competition is not high and just four teams have participated in the games,” Iran coach Amin Allahmani said.
Iran will play Singapore on Monday.
2014 Asian Para Games are underway in Incheon, South Korea, from October 18 to 24. The games feature around 5,000 athletes competing across 23 sports.
