Iranian VP Meets Pope in Vatican
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs Shahindokht Molaverdi met with the leader of the Catholic Church.
Molaverdi and Pope Francis held talks in the Vatican on Thursday.
No details have been released about the topics discussed in the meeting.
She is also scheduled to meet with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican Secretary of State.
Iran and the Vatican share views on many issues including the need for protection of the sanctity of life and the importance of the institution of family.
