IRGC Commander: Enemies Lack Courage to Attack Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said the enemies have been taught such a lesson in the past that they would never dare to take a military action against Iran.
“The enemies do not anymore dare to attack Iran militarily, because they have been taught a lesson from their past encounters with the country,” Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said on Saturday, addressing forces attending a military wargame in Iran’s central province of Isfahan.
The commander underlined that Iran’s military capabilities have prevented the adversaries from thinking of violating the country’s integrity, and added, "They (enemies) are terrified of how to survive after entering Iran."
In relevant comments in June, Major General Jafari had underscored the high level of security along the country’s borders, stressing that not any adversary, even the US, would dare to invade Iran.
Iran is regarded by many of the world countries as a “stable island in an insecure region,” he said at the time.
The Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.
Iran has already made it clear that its military might poses no threat to the regional countries, saying that the Islamic Republic’s defense doctrine is entirely based on deterrence.
