Iran Marches into FINA World Water Polo Development Trophy Final
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran snatched its fourth victory in a row on Thursday to book a place in the final match of the 5th FINA World Water Polo Development Trophy.
Team Melli beat Austria 12-8 in a breathtaking match in Tehran’s Shiroudi Stadium.
Group B leader Iran will play Uruguay on Friday to end title drought in FINA Water Polo Development Trophy.
“It was a difficult match but we didn’t give up until the end. We’ve trained hard for two months to reach the final,” Iran coach Sirous Taherian said in the post match news conference.
“We had analyzed Austria and we knew their weak points,” he added.
