Iran’s Ali Hosseini Snatches Silver at IPC Powerlifting European Open
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran's gold medal-winning Paralympian Ali Hosseini finished in second place in the 2015 IPC Powerlifting European Open Championships on Thursday.
Xiaofei Gu of China won the gold in the men’s up to 80kg.
Gu only needed one good lift of 221kg to take victory over Iran’s Ali Hosseini (200kg) with Open silver.
Briton Michael Yule, lifting a career best 193kg to take Open bronze.
Iran’s Hamzeh Mohammadi had won a bronze medal in the men’s up to 59kg on Wednesday.
