Iran’s Milad Mohammadi Joins Terek Grozny

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Rah Ahan international defender Milad Mohammadi completed a move to Russian Premier League club Terek Grozny on Saturday.

The 22-year- old player has signed a contract until 2019 with the Russian club.

“I am very happy to join Terek Grozny. I think the team is a good place to change my mind about life and football,” Mohammadi told the Tasnim news agency.

“Austria's Sturm Graz was one the teams who offered me and I also participated in their trainings but I eventually signed a contract with Grozny,” he added.

Milad Mohammadi was a member of the Iranian team in the 2016 AFC U-23 Championships in Qatar, where Mohammad Khakpour’s team was knocked out of the competition after being defeated 3-0 against Japan in quarter-final.

Terek Grozny is currently 7th in the Russian Premier League standings.
