Iran Wins Para Taekwondo Championships in Egypt

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran claimed the title of the 1st African Para Taekwondo Championships in Port Said, Egypt.

Iran took five gold medals, two silvers and one bronze in the one-day event and finished in first place with 42 points.

Morocco came second with 29 points, followed by Spain with 15 points.

The inaugural competition attracted 30 athletes from 11 different countries.

As at all Continental Para Taekwondo Championships, the event  opened to participants all around the world as part of the World Taekwondo Federation’s (WTF’s) ongoing commitment to providing athletes with regular access to world-class competitions.
