Asian Water Polo Junior Championship: Iran Draws with Japan

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran drew with title-holder Japan 12-12 at the 5th Asian Water Polo Junior Championship on Friday.

The Iranian team lost to powerhouse Kazakhstan 13-10 on Thursday.

Aleksandar Ciric’s team will face host Indonesia on Saturday.

The tournament has brought Indonesia, Iran, China, Japan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan together.

The Asian Water Polo Junior Championship, which started on July 21 in Indonesia, runs until July 27.

The competitions will also be as a Qualification Tournament for choosing Asian representatives to attend in FINA World Junior Championship (20 years & under) in 2017.
