US Police Find Third Explosive Device in New York City

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - US police have reportedly found a third suspected explosive device in New York City after a blast rocked the city wounding 30 people.

Investigators said they had located another suspected explosive device, the third one, near the site where the blast had occurred, Sputnik News reported.

The explosion hit New York’s Chelsea neighborhood in Manhattan at around 8:30 p.m. [00:30 GMT] on Saturday. According to reports, the blast has left nearly 30 people injured.

After the explosion, two explosive devices were found on West 27th Street, prompting a lockdown of the area. The devices were subsequently removed and transferred to a safe location.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said earlier the explosion was "intentional" but there was no evidence to classify it as a terrorist attack.

"There is no evidence at this point of a terror connection to this incident, this is a preliminary information," de Blasio told journalists.
