Iran’s Taherkhani Wins Bronze in Asian Beach Games Long Jump
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sobhan Taherkhani claimed a bronze medal at the long jump event in the 2016 Asian Beach Games on Sunday.
The Iranian athlete won the bronze medal with 7.35 meters.
Peifeng Zhong from China snatched the gold medal with a jump of 7.53 meters.
Vietnamese Van Cong Nguyen finished in second place with 7.47 meters.
Iran’s Mohammadhossein Sheikholeslami in Kurash and Amirhossein Khademian in Ju-Jitsu have already won two gold and bronze medals respectively.
The 5th Asian Beach Games started on September 24 in the Vietnamese city of Danang and will finish on October 3.
The event has brought around 3,000 Asian beach sports athletes competing in 14 sports, 22 disciplines and 172 events together.
