Iran Volleyball Player Behboudi Retires from National Duty

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian setter Alireza Behboudi announced his retirement from national duty on Wednesday.

The 37-year-old player said goodbye to the Iran national volleyball team after winning the 5th AVC Cup in Thailand.

Behboudi was named the competition’s Most Valuable Player.

He was part of Iran national team who won the silver medal in 2002 Asian Games in Busan, South Korea.

The 195cm setter also won the 1998 Asian Junior Volleyball Championship in Tehran.

Behboudi currently is a member of Shahrdari Tabriz club in the Iranian Volleyball Super League.
