Iranian Runners Win Medals at Yerevan Half Marathon
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Two Iranian runners won two bronze medals at the Yerevan Half Marathon 2016 on Sunday.
Farzollah Rostami finished in third place with a time of 01:14:03.72 in the 21.1 km.
Gold medal went to Georgia’s Daviti Kharazishvili who clocked 01:09:30.53.
Sergey Zyryanov from Armenia also claimed a silver medal with a time of 01:12:28.55.
In the 10 km, Moslem Hosseinzadeh won a bronze medal with 00:38:07.66.
Ervand Mkrtchyan and Mher Mashumyan, both from Armenia, claimed gold and silver medal, respectively.
The Yerevan Half Marathon brought a total of 500 athletes from around the world but 295 runners completed the course this year.
There were also 5 kilometer runs, and a 1 kilometer run for ages 6-12.
Yerevan’s Half Marathon is certified by the International Marathons’ Association.
