Iran Sinks Germany in FIFA U-17 World Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Germany 4-0 in Group C of the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 on Tuesday.
The Persians, who had defeated Guinea 3-1 in their first match, qualified for the tournament’s knock-out round with six points.
Younes Delfi opened the scoring for the Iranian team in the 6th minute and extended Iran’s lead in the 42nd minute.
Allahyar Sayyadmanesh made it 3-0 in 49th minute and Vahid Namdari scored Iran’s fourth goal in the 75th minute at the Nehru Stadium.
Iran will play its last match against Costa Rica in Goa on October 13 while Germany travel to Kochi to play against Guinea.
