Iran Loses to Russia in Four Sets at FIVB World Cup

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran was defeated against Russia 3-1 (25-21, 25-18, 24-26, 25-22) at the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Men's World Cup on Tuesday.

In the match, held in Nagano's White Ring, Milad Ebadipour had 18 points for Iran and Russian Yaroslav Podlesnykh scored 18 points.

The 2019 edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup features 12 national teams from the five continental confederations playing in Nagano, Fukuoka and Hiroshima in a round-robin format from October 1 to 15.

The Men's World Cup kicked off for five match days in Fukuoka and Nagano before teams move to Hiroshima for the remaining six match days.
