Brasilia Hosting Iran’s Film Week, Photo Exhibition

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Iran and Brazil, a photo exhibition of some cultural and artistic works along with the screening of three Iranian movies is underway at a cultural center in Brasilia.

In the inaugural ceremony of the cultural event, Iran’s Ambassador to Brasilia Hossein Gharibi pointed to the 120-year long history of bilateral and friendly ties between Iran and Brazil and added, “Today, we have convened to showcase the influential power of art and culture as a tool for the proximity of the two nations.”

For decades, Iran and Brazil forged a powerful, strong and fruitful partnership in trade, economic, artistic and cultural fields, the envoy emphasized, according to Fars news agency. 

The deputy governor of Brasilia for international affairs also addressed the event, saying that the two countries have established very good cooperation in cultural, political and economic fields and this exhibition is a cultural gift for the capital of Brazil.

Iran’s Photo Exhibition will run for three weeks and will include the screening of three Iranian movies with Portuguese subtitles.
