Tehran to Host Meeting on Climate Change, Natural Resources, Biodiversity

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A specialized meeting on climate change, natural resources and biodiversity is planned to be held via videoconference by the Iranian Natural Disaster Research Institute and the UNESCO chair in Natural Disaster Management in Tehran on Monday.

In the 5th special meeting on climate change, the consequences of climate change in the field of natural resources and biodiversity will be studied thoroughly with the participation of experts and representatives of responsible organizations.

The vulnerabilities, challenges, capacities, plans and actions regarding adaptation with climate change will be discussed in this expert-level meeting.

Director General of Watershed Management and Soil Protection of Iran’s Natural Resources and Watershed Management Organization Hamid Nouri and Head of Wildlife Protection and Management Office of the Department of the Environment (DoE) and a scientific official of the CITES Convention in Iran will deliver lecturers, Mehr news agency reported. 

The meeting will be open to the public and enthusiasts and interested individuals can participate in the online event.
