Israeli Regime Launches New Invasion in South Damascus
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - A Syrian military source has verified reports of a recent incursion by the Zionist regime into southern Damascus.
“At around 4:20 am today, the Israeli forces from the occupied Golan Heights targeted multiple locations in the southern part of Damascus. In response, our nation's air defense system engaged the enemy's missiles, successfully intercepting and downing several projectiles,” a Syrian military official told SANA.
A report on Friday morning indicated explosions in the city of Damascus, with some sources simultaneously noting the activation of Syria's army air defense on the city's outskirts.
Over the past 48 hours, Israeli surveillance planes have demonstrated heightened activity in the region's skies, particularly over Syria.
