Iran Downs Kyrgyzstan at 2024 CAFA Women's Futsal Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Kyrgyzstan 11-0 at the 2024 CAFA Women's Futsal Championship on Wednesday.
Sara Shirbeigi (four goals), Fatemeh Hosseini (two goals), Mahtab Banaei (two goals), Elham Anafjeh, Fereshteh Khosravi and Ziba Afrough were on target for Iran.
Team Melli Banovan, who had started the campaign with a 5-1 win over Uzbekistan, will face Turkmenistan on Friday.
The third edition of the CAFA Women's Futsal Championship, the annual international futsal championship organized by CAFA for the women's national futsal teams of Central Asia, is being held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
Iran is the two-time defending champion.
