Western Youth Search Quran to Understand Gaza’s Resistance: Leader
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said the American and European youth search holy Muslim book Quran to find out the reason for the Palestinian people’s resistance against the Israeli regime’s horrifying crimes in Gaza.
In a meeting the organizers of the Congress for the Commemoration of the 24,000 Martyrs of Khuzestan Province has with the Leader in Tehran on Saturday, Ayatollah Khamenei discussed the miracle of the people’s struggles accompanied by their Islamic faith.
The Leader underlined that the epic and miracle of the people of Khuzestan during the Sacred Defense was a result of a combination of the people's efforts and their faith in Islam.
The Leader praised the late Imam Khomeini’s (RA) precision in choosing the term "Islamic Republic," noting that the combination of relying on the people and Islamic principles has been instrumental in the stability and progress of the Islamic system and its ability to overcome the various challenges and conspiracies that it has encountered.
He also emphasized the need to continue this approach in order to overcome future challenges, Khamenei.ir reported.
“From the early days of the Islamic Movement until the victory of the Islamic Revolution and thereafter, Imam Khomeini (RA) consistently trusted the people, viewing Islam as an effective school of thought for politics and for managing society. Based on this, he was able to lay the groundwork for Iran's advancement and sustain remarkable movements,” the Leader said.
Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that the most important problem of the enemies of the Islamic Republic is their inability to comprehend the Iranian people and the enemies’ lack of understanding of Islam.
“The enemies of the Iranian nation, based on their estimates and plans, were convinced that the Islamic Republic would not see its 40th birthday. However, Iran’s advancement has not been halted much to their dismay. With the grace of God and the determination and religious faith of the people, this progress will continue,” he emphasized.
Elsewhere in his speech, the Leader also highlighted the current situation in Gaza as being a testament to the miracle of relying on people and their religious faith. “The steadfastness of the Resistance forces and their being able to disappoint the enemy’s hopes of being able to eliminate them, as well as the patience of the people of Gaza in the face of all the bombings and calamities, is a demonstration of the strong religious faith of the Palestinians,” he said.
Referring to the exposure of the lies within Western civilization's claims regarding human rights and the hypocrisy of the West with respect to the tragedy in Gaza, Ayatollah Khamenei added, “The Westerners, who raise a commotion about the execution of a convict, have closed their eyes to the killing of 30,000 innocent people in Gaza. And the United States has shamelessly vetoed the resolution for a ceasefire for the umpteenth time.”
The Leader emphasized that what is seen as well-groomed, smiling politicians on the outside is actually a facade hiding the true nature of Western culture, civilization, and liberal democracy. Ayatollah Khamenei described their true nature as being that of a “rabid dog and bloodthirsty wolf”.
In his concluding remarks, the Leader expressed confidence that Western civilization and its misguided values will not prevail, and that the culture based on truth and the correct reasoning of Islam will ultimately triumph over them.
