Iran Indoor Hockey Moves to 2nd Place at FIH World Rankings
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s men’s indoor hockey team moved up to second place in the FIH World Rankings.
The FIH World Rankings are updated after each Indoor Hockey World Cup and Team Melli has moved up one place to second with 1650 points.
Austria leads the ranking with 2400 points and Belgium is third with 1600 points.
In the outdoor rankings, Iran sits 92nd. The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany are the top three teams.
Indoor hockey is an indoor variant of field hockey. It is similar to the outdoor game in that two teams compete to move a hard ball into the goal of the opposing side using hockey sticks.
