Amirabdollahian Hopes for Palestine Peace in Eid Message

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – In messages to his foreign counterparts on the occasion of the Muslim festival of Eid al-Fitr, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian hoped the Palestinian nation would break free from the Israeli cruelty.

In the message, Amirabdollahian regarded Eid al-Fitr as a celebration marking Muslims' dedication to passing divine tests and as a season of joy and happiness for those who pursue excellence through piety and righteous deeds, drawing them closer to the God Almighty.

"With the blessings of this Eid and through enhanced efforts and closer cooperation among Islamic countries, we aim to establish increasing security, prosperity, and peace for the Islamic nations, and to eradicate oppression and inequality worldwide, particularly by providing relief from the suffering of the oppressed people of Palestine," he added, the Foreign Ministry’s website reported.

Known as the Feast of Breaking the Fast, Eid al-Fitr is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims all around the world.

The observance traditionally begins with the sighting of the new moon of the 10th month of the Islamic lunar calendar.
