Iranian Border Guards Seize Boat Carrying 530 Kilograms of Narcotics

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Border Guards Commander in Iran’s southern province of Hormozgan Bahador Ismaili announced the interception of a boat transporting 530 kilograms of narcotics in the waters near Bandar Abbas.

The commander emphasized the swift action taken by provincial border guards and the maritime base in Bandar Abbas, who, utilizing continuous surveillance and intelligence operations, swiftly addressed the presence of a speedboat intending to transport narcotics across the protected waters.

He further explained that following the identification of the targeted vessel, border guards were promptly deployed to the area.

After a period of surveillance and tactical adjustments, the vessel was apprehended through a decisive operational maneuver, he stated.

The senior border guard official acknowledged the challenges posed by smugglers attempting to evade detection under the cover of darkness. Nonetheless, he noted, the interception of the vessel was successful, leading to the discovery of 530 kilograms of methamphetamine concealed within bundles.
