ISIRI Becomes An ILAC Member: Official

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran (ISIRI) became a member of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), the head of the National Standard Organization announced.

Speaking among the representatives of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (TCCIMA), ISIRI Chief Mehdi Eslampanah stated that the institute managed to win its second success in the international arena.

This accreditation body i.e. ILAC provides tools and technical infrastructures to assess the compliance of calibration, testing, results of medical tests and inspection, proficiency test programs and production of authentic reference materials, according to IRNA.

It is worth mentioning that the ISIRI became a member of the Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated (APAC) on April 15, 2024.

The second international achievement of this organization was attained in less than a month during the administration of President Ebrahim Raisi, Eslampanah added.

The International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) started as a conference in 1977 to develop international cooperation for facilitating trade by promoting the acceptance of accredited test and calibration results.
