Iran Condemns Terrorist Attack in Central Afghanistan

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned a fatal terrorist attack on tourists and civilians in Afghanistan’s central province of Bamiyan.

In a statement on Saturday, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani condemned Friday’s terrorist attack in Bamiyan and expressed sympathy with the families of victims.

At least four people were killed in an armed attack on a group of foreign tourists at a market in Bamiyan on May 17.

Taliban-led Interior Ministry spokesman Abdul Matin Qane was quoted by AFP as saying that 11 people were shot and that four of them, including three foreigners, died. Among the other seven victims were four foreigners and three Afghans, he added.
