Iran Denies Report of Gas Condensate Exports to Poland

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A senior official at the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) dismissed as "untrue" media reports that Tehran has recently exported a cargo of gas condensate to Poland.

On Friday, Reuters quoted traders as saying that Poland's largest oil refiner PKN Orlen has delivered a gas condensate cargo of Iranian origin for its Mazeikiai refinery in Lithuania.

According to the report by Reuters, the 122,000-ton cargo was shipped to the port of Butinge via Southeast Asia.

In reply, Mohsen Qamsari, director of the international affairs at the NIOC, announced on Tuesday that the report is "baseless".

The reaction came a day after Poland denied any Iranian gas condensate imports.

"PKN Orlen hereby informs that the reports of PKN Orlen's purchasing gas condensate from Iran for Orlen's refinery in Lithuania (Mazeikiai refinery), published in some news services, are totally untrue," PKN said in a statement.
