TEHRAN (Tasnim) - No happy ending for the Iranian national volleyball team in the 2015 FIVB World League as Team Melli lost to Russia in Tehran’s Azadi Hall on Saturday evening.

On Friday Iran had defeated Russia in straight sets in the World League, but 24 hours later it was the Russians who were celebrating after an impressive 3-1 (25-23, 19-25, 25-18, 25-21) win.

It was Russia’s first win in the 2015 FIVB World League and Iran’s first defeat in four encounters with Russia this season.
