Official Urges Blocking Enemy’s Attempts to Infiltrate Iran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A ranking Iranian official emphasized the need for increased vigilance to obstruct any hostile schemes aimed at making inroads into the country.

World powers have been attempting over the past 37 years to influence Iran and impair the values and principles that the Islamic Revolution has brought to the region, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani told reporters in Tehran on Thursday.

Echoing recent comments by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, Shamkhani urged efforts to block the enemy’s path for cultural, political and cultural infiltration into Iran.

He underlined that Iran will be never weakened thanks to the experiences for which it has paid a cost.

Earlier on Wednesday, Ayatollah Khamenei renewed the call for increased alertness of Iranian people and officials in the face of the plots hatched by the enemies for “complicated and gradual” infiltration into Iran.

While many consider finalization of the text of a lasting deal on Iran’s nuclear program as a major breakthrough in the improvement of ties between Iran and the West, the Leader has already made it clear that Tehran’s policy toward the US will remain unchanged regardless of the ultimate fate of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
