Leader Calls on Iran’s Armed Forces to Keep Boosting Preparedness
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei urged the Iranian armed forces to constantly enhance their readiness to counter any foreign threat against the Islamic Republic.
In a meeting with the commanders and officials at Khatam al-Anbia Air Defense Base in Tehran on Tuesday, Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted the important role of the base in defending the country and called on the officials “to constantly upgrade your preparedness and your options for dealing with all kinds of threats”.
The Leader further appreciated the efforts made by the military base’s commanders and staff officers and said, “Sensitivities and the important concerns of defense missions reflect the fact that you should identify the enemy's vulnerabilities and possible strategies and have a specific plan to deal with all of them.”
Imam Khamenei also instructed the forces to be in contact with scientific and military circles, exchange views with them and take advantage of the existing facilities to increase their options against all types of threats.
Iran has in recent years made great strides in reinforcing its defense capabilities to counter all threats.
Tehran has always assured other nations that its military might poses no threat to the regional countries, saying that the Islamic Republic’s defense doctrine is entirely based on deterrence.
