IPL: Persepolis Goes Provisionally Top
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis football team defeated Havadar 2-0 in an away match on Saturday to go top of the Iran Professional League (IPL) table- until Monday at least.
Issa Alekasir netted a brace in Tehran’s Dastgerdi Stadium.
On Monday, struggling teams Esteghlal Khuzestan and Nassaji will face in Ahvaz, Zob Ahan will host Paykan in Isfahan and Esteghlal will play relegation-threatened Foolad in Tehran.
Persepolis moved top with 59 points, two points above Esteghlal.
