The US unmanned aircraft fired two missiles on a house in Moski village of Mir Ali area in North Waziristan, a restive tribal region bordering Afghanistan.

The house was completely destroyed and caught fire after the strike.

Local people rushed to the site and took out four charred bodies from debris of the building.

Identities of the killed are not known yet, Xinhua reported.

Saturday's drone strike in North Waziristan is the 18th of its kind in Pakistan in 2013, which has left at least 116 people dead so far this year.

Pakistan will formally lodge a protest against US drone attacks in the UN General Assembly session next month, Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said Friday.

In a policy statement to the National Assembly, he said the US drone attacks violate Pakistan's sovereignty and international laws.

"A breakthrough is expected on the issue of US drone strikes in the coming months," he said, without elaborating.

The US said the drone strikes target militants accused of crossing the border into Afghanistan to launch attacks on foreign and Afghan forces.

Aziz said that Pakistani leaders would urge US authorities to stop drone strikes as they were counterproductive.
