Foolad and Naft Shares Points in IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Foolad of Khuzestan and Naft of Tehran football teams shared the points in a 1-1 draw on Sunday.
Arash Afshin was on target for Foolad in 12th minute but his goal was cancelled out by Reza Norouzi in the 25th minute.
Foolad moved top of the Iran Pro League table with 51 points. Esteghlal is second with 50 points with one game in hand.
Esteghlal is scheduled to play Malavan in an away game on Wednesday.
In another place, Saipa was held to a 1-1 draw against Gostaresh in the city of Karaj. Iman Mousavi gave the lead the visiting team in the 53rd minute and Kaveh Rezaei scored for Saipa in the 71st minute.
Also, Esteghlal of Khuzestan drew 1-1 with Damash. Amin Motavaselzadeh was on target in the 71st minute for Damash but with six minutes remaining, Salif Coulibaly equalized the match.
Fajr Sepasi also edged its host Zob Ahan of Isfahan thanks to a Ramezani’s 15th goal.
