Islamic Revolution’s Cultural Clout, Biggest Challenge to West: IRGC Official

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The world’s hegemonic powers are deeply troubled by the cultural achievements of the Islamic Revolution which provides fresh impetus for the whole Muslim and free-seeking nations, deputy commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) for cultural and social affairs said.

Speaking in a large congregation of people here in Tehran on Friday, Hamid Reza Moqaddamfar underlined that the Islamic Revolution’s principles and cultural impacts pose a serious challenge to the global hegemony.

“No doubt the biggest challenge to the West today is the culture arising from the Islamic Revolution,” he said.

The official noted that the cultural achievements of the Islamic Revolution in Iran have also inspired and exhilarated the world’s Muslim and free-seeking nations and provided them with a state of dynamism.

In relevant comments in January, IRGC Commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said the wave of Islamic Awakening in the region and other parts of Muslim world is inspired by Iran's 1979 Islamic Revolution.

“Today’s Islamic awakening (movement) in the world countries is the outcome of the Islamic Revolution,” he stressed at the time.

The commander had also underlined that the ongoing war between the hegemonic powers and the suppressed nations in the contemporary world has been inspired by the profound influence of the Islamic awakening movement on world countries.
