Belgium Books A Place in Last 16 after Beating Russia

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Belgium national football team edged Russia in Group H of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and advanced to the last 16 on Sunday.

In the match held at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Divock Origi, who replaced the ineffective Romelu Lukaku in the 57th minute, scored in the 88th minute.

Origi, 19, became Belgium's youngest ever World Cup goal scorer.

Belgium had defeated Algeria 2-1 in its opening match.

Belgium will play South Korea on June 27 while Algeria face Russia.
