Iran’s Men’s Double Sculls Claims Bronze in Asian Games
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran’s men's double sculls won a bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Games on Thursday.
The Iranian team, comprising Seyed Mojtaba Shojaei and Amir Rahnama, clocked 6:33.22 minutes and won the bronze medal.
China's duo Zhang Liang-Dai Jun grabbed the gold with a time of 6:24.69 minutes and Chinese Taipei's Wang Ming Hui-Yu Tsung Wei got the silver with 6:29.11 minutes.
Some 9,500 athletes from 45 countries are competing at the Games, the world's second-biggest multi-sport event after the summer Olympics, with 439 gold medals in 36 sports up for grabs.
Iran has participated in the games with 276 athletes in 22 sports.
