Iran Volleyball Team Suffers Defeat against Finland in Friendly
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The Iranian national volleyball team suffered its second defeat to Finland in a friendly match.
Finland beat Iran 3-1 (20-25, 25-17, 26-24, 25-22) in Leppavirta on Friday.
Iran had lost to the European team 3-0 in its first friendly match.
Iran will travel to Prague to play three more warm-up matches with Czech Republic.
Slobodan Kovac’s men will depart from Czech Republic for Los Angeles to start the 2015 FIVB World League.
Team Melli will begin the campaign against the US on May 30 and 31 in Los Angeles.
Iran has been drawn in Pool B along with Olympic champion Russia, 2014 World Champion Poland and World League titleholder the US.
