President Rouhani Congratulates Jordan on Independence Day
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani congratulated the nation and government of Jordan on the country’s Independence day.
In a Monday message to Jordanian King Abdullah II, Rouhani expressed the hope that the ties between Tehran and Amman would expand in all spheres.
He also wished health and success for Abdullah II, and happiness and dignity for the nation and government of Jordan.
Jordan Independence Day is a significant public holiday in Jordan. It is observed on May 25 every year.
A treaty signed on this day in 1946 established the constitutional monarchy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and secured the nation's independence from Britain.
