2016 Olympic Handball Qualifiers: Iran Draws Qatar
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iranian national handball team has been pitted against host Qatar in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games qualifiers.
The Iranian team has been drawn in Group B along with Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Japan and Uzbekistan.
Group A consists of Bahrain, South Korea, Kuwait, Iraq, China and Australia.
The competition will be held in Doha from November 9 to 20.
The winner of the Asian event will directly qualify for Rio.
The runner-up will play another qualification tournament featuring teams from around the world.
Defending world champion France and host Brazil have automatically made the cut for the 12-team Olympics.
