Police: Several Dead after 6 Overnight Shootings in DC

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Three people are dead and others are injured after six separate overnight shootings in the District, police said.

The first reported shooting happened around 9 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of Edgewood Street in Northeast, D.C. One man was fatally shot, two were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

The second shooting happened in the 2400 block of Savannah Street in Southeast, D.C. around 11 p.m.

Police have no information on injuries related to this incident, according to a report by CBS-affiliated television station located in the American capital of Washington, WUSA9, on Saturday.

Shortly after police responded to a shooting around 12:30 a.m. at Bruce Place and Raynolds Place in Southeast, D.C. Injuries in this shooting are also unknown.

At around 1:30 a.m. one man was fatally shot in the 3400 block of 13th Street Place in Southeast, D.C., police said.

About an hour later another man was fatally shot at 13th and Riggs Street in Northwest, D.C.

The last shooting happened around 3:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of Brentwood Road in Northeast, D.C. A man was shot. Police do not have any information on his injuries at this time.
