Iranian Taekwondoka Wins Gold at Korea Open International

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran’s Armin Hadipour claimed a gold medal at the Korea Open International Taekwondo on Wednesday.

Hadipour seized a gold in the -54kg category after beating his South Korean rival 21-9 in the final match.

In the -87kg, Omid Amidi lost to Jasur Baykuziyev of Uzbekistan in the final match and earned a silver medal.

Iran has participated in the Chuncheon Korea Open International Taekwondo with 11 athletes.

The Korean Open International Taekwondo got underway at the Hoban Gym in Chuncheon City from July 22 to 27 under supervision of WTF (World Taekwondo Federation).
