World Muslim Doctors Conference to Begin Thursday in Iran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Secretary-General of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening Ali Akbar Velayati announced that the northeastern holy city of Mashhad will host the opening ceremony of a conference of Muslim physicians this Thursday.

Muslim Doctors Conference will be inaugurated on Thursday, July 30, in the holy city of Mashhad with over 400 Muslim doctors from all around the world in attendance, Velayati, who serves as the organizer of the conference, said on Tuesday.

He further explained that different regional and international issues as well as scientific topics will be discussed and analyzed during the conference.

Sponsored by Institute for Compilation and Publication of Supreme Leader's works, World Assembly of Islamic Awakening, and the Ahl ul-Beit World Assembly, the conference will be held in three cities of Mashhad, Tehran, and Shiraz mainly in cooperation with the cities' univesities of medical sciences, he added.

Participants will also exchange views on the important letter of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei to European and North American youth and its impact in international level.

In a historic letter on January 21, Imam Khamenei asked Western youth to try to gain a direct and firsthand knowledge of the religion in reaction to the flood of prejudgments and disinformation campaigns.
